Japanese practice Takeshi Hosaka Architects have built a family residence in Yokohama. It was built for a couple and their two children. The site measures only 60 sqm and is flanked by existing buildings on the south and north side and a retaining wall on the east side. The floor slab on each floor was bent near the facade to give the same window size to both the basement and the ground floor. This ensures plenty of natural air and light circulation on all the floors.
