Sauna and Guesthouse by Mer Architects

Finland-based practice Mer Architects have built a small wooden structure consisting of a sauna and guest house. The sauna and guesthouse is located on the northern shore of a rocky island, in the Espoo archipelago. The small building is constructed in massive CLT (Cross Laminated Timber and consists of two parts under one large roof. The cedar-clad sauna room overlooks the boat lane and also gets the evening sun through its curved window. The guest room also serves as a dressing room.
